6-7 day walk along second half of the Lara Pinta trail in Central Australia (stretching west from Alice Springs to Mt Sondor). Proposed section is Ellery Creek to Redbank Gorge. Desert environment, sleeping out under the stars, but trail very well kept and contact never far away.

I will be heading up there around the 14th to do some daywalks around Kings Canyon, Uluru and the Olgas. If there was a group interested in this, we could hire a car at Alice Springs and spend 3-4 days.

The walk itself would then start around the 18th July. Those not interested in the daywalks could meet us in Alice Springs on this date. Max 8 walkers.

So period of time needed for walk alone: 17th-25th July, including flight dates. For those working fulltime, this makes use of the two weekends so you only need to take leave for one week. Including daywalks: 14th-25th July.

Costs: Return flight to Alice Springs individually (sooner the better), then cost of food/water drops and lift to start of trail will be split. No park entrance fees.

Must have done at least one 4-day+ hike.

Initial trip meeting to gauge interest and answer questions will be held Tuesday 16th March.
