Description
Join me for the first weekend on Sem 1 2010 for a great introduction to Victorian alpine bushwalking. I'll be running one of my regular trips to the club hut on Mt Feathertop (Check out http://www.mumc.org.au/club/hut for info on the hut). Mt Feathertop is approxmately 4.5hrs NE from Melbourne near the town of Bright.
You'll be treated to some great views as we walk out along the Razorback from Mt Hotham. There are only moderate ascents and you get the bonus of sleeping in a hut at the end of the trip. We will either leave very early on Sat morning (5:30am) or if you are brave drive up Friday night and sleep out in a gazebo, or perhaps camp proper in the adjacent valley. There will be room on the trip for a more adventurous group taking one of the harder approaches to the Hut if anyone is keen.
Trip Meeting: 2nd March, 7:30pm
Difficulty: Grade 2 (beginner friendly)
