BSAR steep snow and ice training
This Search And Rescue trip is scheduled to happen on 2008-07-19.
Leader
Al
Description
This trip is for MUMC BSAR members who have alpine skills and experience. (At a minimum, you must be competent with ice axe and crampons.)
This is the annual steep snow and ice practice, and is run jointly by Bushwalkers Search and Rescue and Police Search and Rescue. It has a new format this year: Saturday will be an ascent of the west ridge of Buller (to be run by BSAR), and Sunday will be training with police search and rescue in police steep snow and ice access and hauling procedures.
