Come learn about the night sky with astronomers from Swinburne University's Centre for Astrophysics and Supercomputing.
The Centre will be bringing two of its telescopes along, as well as their expertise in all things above the atmosphere.
This will be a trip primarily aimed at star gazing, but there will also be an opportunity for some bushwalking and learning a bit about the Australian bush.
Plan
We'll leave Saturday morning for a location outside of Melbourne with a clear view of the sky. We'll have the day to explore the local bush. After a group dinner, we'll set up telescopes under the sky and settle in for a night of star watching.
We'll return to Melbourne Sunday morning after everyone has had a good rest.
Weather
In case of overcast skies, this trip will be rescheduled for early April.
