Wilson Prom Southern Circuit

Note: campsites are now fully booked so can’t bring anyone else on this trip :(

Hey MUMC,

The three of us are doing a 3 night bushwalk of the Wilson’s Prom southern circuit. I have two more spots in my car, so I thought I would see if there is any interest out there to come along.

NOTE: you will need to book your own camping permits at this link once we have confirmed you are on the trip. (The cost is $7 per night, so $21 total)

Here is a map of the place. The plan is:

- February 6th: Meet at MUMC clubrooms early in the morning and drive to Wilson’s Prom. We will leave the cars at Telegraph Saddle and hike to Sealers Cove to camp for the night.

- February 7th: Hike from Sealers Cove to Little Waterloo Bay.

- February 8th: Hike to Roaring Meg via the southern lightstation.

- February 9th: Hike back to Telegraph Saddle, drive home and drop off at MUMC clubrooms.

The hike itself is pretty easy, but I have set the difficulty to intermediate because I haven’t run a trip before. You will need to be self reliant on how to dress, cook, camp etc.

If you’re keen, let us know ASAP as you will need to book permits with Park Vic, and they are going fast!
