Sherbrooke Forest Circuit Via Public Transport

A post exam hike in the Dandenongs. You must use public transport to get to Belgrave (unless you can convince me that it is too unreasonable). 

Please note the meeting will be on Wednesday 7:00pm via Zoom (I will send a link out closer to the time). You must attend the meeting to come

Plan

We will meet at Belgrave Station at where I’ll be waiting (I’ll confirm times at the meeting). We’ll then be doing the Sherbrooke Forest circuit https://www.alltrails.com/explore/trail/australia/victoria/sherbrooke-forest-circuit?mobileMap=true&ref=sidebar-static-map

The hike is 13.5km in total with 580m of ascent and will be quite muddy which is why I have listed this as intermediate. Whilst no hiking experience is necessary you must have a decent level of fitness to hike up multiple steep hills over 5-6 hours. If you are unsure if you can do this hike please ask me.

You must bring the following as a minimum

- Good quality rain jacket

- Water bottle (at least 1-2L)

- Lunch and snacks (you will get hungry!)

- Warm clothes (not cotton)

- Hiking boots (casual runners or sneakers will cause you to slip and slide across the mud)
