Total mileage: 35.7km distance, 1900m elevation gain/loss

People with cars will be given priority on this trip.

Itinerary

Tuesday 4th June

• Meet at MUMC club rooms at 6am
• Depart from MUMC Clubrooms at 6:30am to reach Mount Loch car park by 11:30am
• Take the Australian Alps Walking Track from the car park to Cobungra Gap
• Take Dungey Track and then West Kiewa Logging Road to the head of Diamantina Spur
• Take Diamantina Spur to the Razorback, then up to MUMC Hut, ETA 7:30pm
• Enjoy the views, your dinner, and perchance a game of cards

Tuesday: 21.5km, 1,200m elevation gain, 1,350m elevation loss

Wednesday 5th June

• Optionally, take in the sunrise while hiking to the summit of Mount Feathertop
• Meet the late risers at camp, break your fast, and pack up by 9am
• Take on the technical but stunning Razorback Ridge line, past High Knob, Twin Knobs, and Big Dipper to Diamantina Hut
• Take a leisurely stroll past the peak of Mount Hotham back to Mount Loch car park, ETA 2pm
• Drive back to MUMC Clubrooms, ETA 7pm

Wednesday: 14.2km, 700m elevation gain, 550m elevation loss

This is an advanced trip, weather conditions are not yet known but expect cold conditions, hiking in the dark, and a bit of type two fun! If you cannot make the trip meeting on Tuesday but still wish to come, contact Charlotte on Messenger.
