Canyon Training Weekend at the Otway's.

This is an opportunity for aspiring Canyon Leaders (or anyone super stoked on canyoning) to work on specific techniques and practice skills to become a canyoning leader.

We'll try to pair people up to practice and up-skill together before doing a mock canyon lead.

All participants need to be ticked off as Canyon Beginners before this trip. Ideally you'll have done canyoning before or already have rope skills. If not, enthusiasm may be suffice.

If you want to get started:

This course will help you with all the skills to become an active participant

These modules will help you with all the knots and the rope systems to set up rappels!

You are more than welcome to use old and retired ropes in the club rooms and practice these knots and anchors.

Likely itinerary:

Depart Friday Night after work at 5:30pm

Saturday - Swift-water Skills in Carisbrook Creek.

Sunday - Rope Skills and Rigging checks in Sabine Falls Canyon

** If other Canyoning Leaders are available to assist in running this trip we will be able to increase the participant numbers **
