Canyoning Training Course (Week 1 of 3)

Week 1: November 12: Harness set up and canyon abseiling devices & practice 

This 3 week course is designed for people who have basic rope skills but are looking to upskill in canyons and become more independent canyoners.

This course is not designed to make you a proficient canyon leader, simply an independent participant and more capable canyoner. 

This will be a joint course with RMIT outdoors club. With 6 participants from each club.

You must be familiar with knots and ideally should have abseiled a couple of times before. People who would like to lead club canyoning trips in the future will be preferenced. 

The training will culminate in a canyon training day where you get to utilise your new skills! Date TBC for this 

Cost: $20 for 3 weeks

All gear will be supplied
