Level 2 first aid

There will be a level 2 first aid course run in the meeting room in the clubrooms. There is also an online component to complete prior to the day.

Completing a level 2 first aid course is a requirement if you’d like to lead trips with the club. It lasts for 3 years, but the CPR component needs to be renewed every year.

Who is this for: anyone who is currently a leader with the club whose first aid has expired, or anyone who’d like to become a leader with MUMC and doesn’t hold a current level 2 first aid (or higher) qualification. More info on how to become a leader with MUMC is available here. This is a good opportunity for people who went on intro trip and are keen to be trained up as a leader in the club!

Cost: $95 pp with the possibility of reimbursement after you’ve run some trips. This is not a guarantee though - please apply for a training grant. (If you only need to do CPR, it’ll be $55 pp.)

If interested: If you’re interested in attending but aren’t on the list, please email a committee member

Cancellations: If you’re on the “committed” list but have to pull out, you won’t be reimbursed. However, you may be able to attend a public first aid course run by the provider, ‘Life Saving First Aid’.

Can I do CPR only? Yes, just let me know. This will cost $55 and will be happening early in the session

Please note: training grant must be applied for BEFORE course commencement. Reimbursement is usually conditional (you get your money back after you run some trips). For more info see the training grant document on the website
