The Hollow Mountain - Mt Stapylton Circuit Walk is an advanced 5-6 hour day walk in the northern Grampians . It follows the iconic ridge line between Hollow Mountain and Mt Stapylton, including a short section scrambling up through the hollow mountain caves. This walks involves difficult, exposed rock scrambling and a jump across a void.
The plan is to drive up either Friday night or early Saturday morning, and start the circuit around 9-10 am Saturday, then camp at Plantation camp-grounds Saturday night. Plans for Sunday are still flexible and will be decided at the trip meeting. Depending upon interest and experience levels, it might be possible for a second group to complete the circuit either in the reverse direction (apparently less difficult) , or on the Sunday.
Not a walk for the feint-of-heart.
Must have had previous bush-walking/ rock scrambling experience and a love of heights and exposure.
Trip meeting on the 26th of April
See the following pages for more photos and general details of the walk
