Dyurrite/Gariwerd Mid-Semester Climbing

The infamous Mid-Semester Climbing Trip is nearly here but this semester we have a twist! TWO LOCATIONS?!?! Yes, that's right! With such large interest in both a Western Victoria trip and a Blue Mountains trip we've decided to do both. You can see the Blue Mountains trip here.

Trad? Sport? Squeeze Test?! We're doing it all this mid-semester break at two of Australia’s best climbing destinations!

We’re heading to Dyurrite (Arapiles) and Gariwerd (Grampians) for a week of incredible climbing. The plan is to set up camp at The Pines campground in Dyurrite, with several day trips to Gariwerd for some sport climbing throughout the week. There may even be a few bouldering pads floating around!

Come and go as it suits you! Whether you're in for the whole week or just a few days, you're welcome to join at any time. There will be Google Sheet to help coordinate carpooling, food, and gear logistics soon.

You will need all your own camping, cooking, and climbing gear, this can be hired from the MUMC gear stores on the Tuesday before the trip.

To participate, you must be signed off as at least a seconder in the MUMC Climbing Framework (an indoor lead climbing pass is the minimum requirement). If you’re unsure of where you stand in the framework, send your logbook or any questions to the Ropes Officer, Riley, at .
