Get ready everyone, because it’s time for MUMC to open up the Adventure Grant for another year!

Every year, MUMC offers a grant of $3000 to support a trip that is outside the regular scope of what the club runs. This grant aims to support the ambitious, creative, and adventurous spirit of the club. Whether it’s a remote paddling journey, an overseas mountaineering project, a first ascent mission, or something that it entirely unique, it’s up to you! The Adventure Grant is all about supporting members to turn their bold ideas into reality.

Past examples of the adventure grant have included:

  • Paddling the entire length of the Murray River
  • Mountaineering expeditions to Kyrgyzstan
  • First descent canyons in New Zealand
  • Paddling across the Bass Strait and climbing in the Kent group

And there are many other incredible adventures just waiting to be had. So, whatever ideas you’ve been cooking up. If you’ve got something that excites, something that could benefit from a bit of financial backing to get it off the ground, then we want to hear about it.

To be considered for the grant, you must submit an adventure grant application, the details for this application can be found at the top of the documents tab on the website.

The application deadline for 2026 is the 31st July at 11:59pm
