This will be a trip to New South Wales leaving Melbourne the evening of 5th April with aim of arriving in the Blue mountains sometime on the 6th spend about a week in the Blue mountains before returning, by way of the Snowy Mountains, to Melbourne on the 15th April.

However exact return dates will depend on participants. Possibilities exist to depart or join trip during the week.

The majority of the activities being planned are caving with a progress from smaller beginners caves to longer more advanced trips over the week, however these will also be broken up by other activies eg a daywalk.

Specifically the plan is to visit the caving areas of Jenolan & Tuglow in the Blue Mountains and Yarrangobilly in the Snowy mountains.

Wyanbene, Bungonia and Cooleman are also possible, however less likely, destinations  (pending availability of national parks permits).

The majority of caving done will cater for people of any experience level however 1 or  2 daytrips may not be suitable for complete beginners, both Jenolan and Yarrangobilly have tourist caves and walking potential for days off and at least one day will be spent as a rest day doing an easy Blue mountains daywalk.

An earlier caving trip is recommended (but not a requirement) for anyone interested in this trip, I suggest one of the weekend trips to Buchan in particular the Buchan caving skills trip 24-25 March.

Note trip meeting is in the week before the trip not the tuesday immediately prior.

Gear Hire: $10/day

Petrol Estimate $120 - $150 /person

Accomodation Details: Blue mountains Jenolan cavers cottage (power, showers, kitchen incl mircowave and cooktop). Snowy Mountains national parks campground pit toilet, thermal swimming pool in tourist area.

Accomodation Costs Jenolan approx $10/day depending on trip numbers maybe less. Snowy mountains: free.
