Requirements: Have had done an overnight tramp before, reasonable level of fitness, and motivation for full days of walking in day light.

So Evie and I (Lingshu) are planning on doing a weekend tramp to Lerderderg State Park (Bacchus Marsh).

This will be a challenging, overnight tramp involving long days, steep sections and multiple river crossings, better suited to slightly more experienced walkers.

We are leaving on Friday at 6:45pm at the clubrooms (eat dinner beforehand). The drive will be about an hour and a half. We will start at Mackenzies Flat in the dark, and a short walk to Grahams Dam.

The next day, we plan on walking the Blackwood Ranges Track, Foxy Gully Track and onto the Ah Kow Track where we will camp for the night.

On Sunday, we will walk back down the Lerderderg River, via the Long Point track, to Mackenzies Flat. This part should be fun!

We will aim to be back in Melbourne by 8pm on the Sunday.

Since there are many river crossings, if the weather forecast is looking dodgy, we will postpone the trip or walk a different track that weekend.

Depending on interests and car availability, we will cap the trip to 10 people.
