Requirements: Experience with overnight bushwalking and bad weather, or a good attitude towards suffering.

This is the standard club ski trip.  You'll have a chance to tumble down slopes, ski through whiteout, have your tent collapse under the weight of snow, and all the other stuff that makes for good ski touring stories.  But we'll stay close to civilisation: if you bite off more than you can chew, you'll be able to spit it out.

The plan is to drive out Friday night and camp around Bright or Harrietville, camp in the snow at JB Plain on Saturday night, and drive back after the lifts close on Sunday.  I intend to take a skiing lesson at the resort on Sunday, but there are other options in case you haven't won a lottery recently.

If you've been on a cold and wet overnight bushwalk, the club can supply the rest of the gear you'll need.  If you haven't, then camping in the snow will be a big deal, and it would be sensible for you to build up to it gradually.

No doubt the numbers on this trip will be limited by car seats; 15 people is the hard limit.
