Rising in the Great Dividing Range, the Lerderderg River has cut a 300 metre deep gorge through sandstone and slate, almost bisecting the park. The park has a wide variety of vegetation and wildlife and some interesting relics of goldmining.

This walk is a good introduction to overnight hiking. There is some rock hopping involved, and the track can be challenging at times, but we can take it slowly. Expect to get to the campsite by the afternoon so we can spend some time chilling my the river and making a fire.

This is an overnight hike and therefore you must have to have been on a daywalk in the past.

Come to the trip meeting if you are interested :)
