The Fortress

A little less ambitious than last time I posted this trip, now open to intermediate/advanced walkers. You need to have been on overnight bushwalking trip with the club before, and be confident on your feet over rocky/steep terrain. There may be some off track walking involved and the potential to get lost.

Drive up and camp somewhere nearby in the Grampians the night before, then walk in from the west and go exploring on the Saturday around the Fortress and the Victoria Range nearby. Camp at the bottom campsite at the Fortress, next to the stream under the big overhanging rock face.

Come back on Sunday, hopefully not too late because some of us probably have work the next day.
