Yarra whitewater kayak

Beginner whitewater kayak trip around the 5km "Witton's Loop" on the Yarra. Grade 2 Rapids to be negotiated. A lovely introduction to whitewater paddling, however you must be a competent swimmer to join this trip.

Trips size depends on cars. If only my car is involved, trip size is limited to 3. We will likely have two cars meaning a max size of 7. Unless we have another leader AND another car join, we can't take more than 7 so first in best dressed here.

Meeting at club rooms at 0930 sharp on Saturday. Bring $10 for boat hire and another $5 if you want to hire a wetsuit. If no wetsuit, it's advised to wear a woollen/poly pro thermal while kayaking. Shoes must also be worn while on the water.

Also bring along usual items like sunscreen, water bottle, snacks, etc.
