An end of summer hike up Victoria's highest mountain! This is one of the more challenging hikes in the region but the view from the top is spectacular with rolling blue hills extending to the horizon in all directions.

We'll camp below the treeline in the glade at the beautiful stone Cleve Cole Hut. If there's spare time in the afternoon we can explore the nearby creek and waterfalls.

Beginners are welcome but you will need to be quite fit and good at going up and down big hills (and preferably have experience with carrying an overnight pack so you know how much weight you are happy to carry uphill).  The ascent is long and steep; you will be walking up 1.2km in altitude...!

We'll leave Friday night and camp at the base at Mountain Creek, we will probably climb up the staircase and then come back down eskdale spur.
