Hey everyone,

So, I don’t really mind how long the trip goes for but I was thinking that we would go leave Melbourne on Friday (June 23rd) day/evening/night and camp at Tidal river that night, then do three days of walking (two nights sleeping) and then drive back to Melbourne on Monday (June 26th) night. I know this isn’t great for people who work on Mondays/weekends but it means that we can still go to the meeting on Tuesday.

I really don’t mind which way we go but considering that people on the trip might not have gone to the prom before/ done much walking, I thought that we go Tidal river, roaring meg, little waterloo bay (via, the lighthouse) and then back to Tidal river, (or Tidal river, sealers cove, little waterloo bay and then back to Tidal river). Both walks are around 40 km so would require a reasonable level of fitness, but at the same time, it relatively easy walking as the tracks are very well maintained. Just to make to make sure that everyone is on the same page, everyone will need to carry their own food, water (3L), tent and anything else that they want to carry.

In terms of money, if we do what I just said, it would be ~$26 per person for accommodation (Tidal river and two nights overnight Hiking grounds) (assuming 12 people), ~$43 for car maintenance per car and however much petrol costs. Because booking in advance is required at the prom, I wanted to book asap to ensure that we can do the walk, this means that everyone would need to pay me up front for the cost of accommodation so that I’m not too short on money. If you do need to pull out of the trip and we can find someone to replace you then I’m fine with you swapping, but if we can’t you will need to cover the cost of your accommodation.

Thanks
