The rains are here!

The Jamieson River is a remote river with limited access and a variety of sections. The river ranges from a small mountain stream to exciting gorges and long flat stretches. The length of the sections means you need to be prepared but it is worth the effort.

Now that that has been said, let's go on an overnight paddle!

The hard grade 3 section is limited to one gorge that should be able to be portaged by people who are not comfortable on grade 3 whitewater. This will require a 1km walk along a river(side) walking track. Carrying your boat. And all your overnight gear.

We will cook roasted veggies on a fire on Saturday night and all sleep together under a tarp.

You will need to have been on at least one beginner trip, to come. If you cannot roll in a pool you will have to walk the gorge section.
