MUMC and the Wilderness Medicine Students Society jointly present the Mountaineering lecture series I - Scott Blackford Scheele. 

Scott has climbed extensively in New Zealand and Nepal, including an attempt on Anidesha Chuli (White Wave, 6900m), an unclimbed peak deep in the Kangchenjunga Conservation Area of the eastern Nepalese Himalaya. Scott works in Bogong Equipment in the city providing expert mountaineering gear advice.

Come along to hear Scott talk about 

  • getting into mountaineering, 
  • decision-making and risk in the mountains, 
  • medical and first aid issues
  • recommendations for mountaineers starting out.

There will be Q&A session will following the talk.

When - Tuesday 5th September 8:00pm

Where - upstairs in the MUMC Clubrooms
