An introductory trip to trail running, because trail running is awesome, super fun and a far more efficient use of time than bushwalking!

This trip is suited to anyone who can run 5km or more and is interested in learning about running on trails, the adventurous cousin to running on boring city pavements or tedious gym treadmills.

The plan is a day trip to the You Yangs! Choose between:

1) A chill 5 km option involving some great views and relaxed ascent and descent on beautiful single track

2) A slightly longer run (~10kms) with an additional 5kms of flat trail added to 1)

Anyone who is super keen can run up Flinders Peak afterwards while the rest of us stretch :)

We'll grab a beer/non-alcoholic beverage of your choice at a country pub afterwards. We should be back in Melbourne by the early afternoon on Saturday, leaving you feeling virtuous and energised for the weekend ahead!
