THERE IS ONE FREE PLACE IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO COME.

his coastal walk is drop dead spectacular, and this time of year is the perfect time to visit.

About the walk: The four day, three night hike tracks along the coast from the eastern tip of Victoria into NSW. The landscapes you pass along the way are stunning, including sand dunes, cliff tops, woodlands, heathlands and swamps. Each day there's an opportunity for a dip in the freshwater lakes and lagoons we'll pass along the walk. The total distance is around 50km.

The plan: Drive up to Mallacoota Friday morning - we'll do a car shuffle and then walk across the inlet. Where we stay on Friday and Saturday night is flexible and there's a couple of great options. By Sunday night we'll be at Little Creek campsite. On Monday morning we'll hike to the car parked at Merrika River Crossing, do a car shuffle and head home by 9pm.

Experience: This walk is remote so you need to have experience walking overnight, be self sufficient an be comfortable carrying 4 days of supplies

Cost (approx): $30 for 3 nights camping, $90 car costs, possibly $30 for boat crossing.

We'll need a second car for the car shuffle. Preferably something that's ok on dirt tracks.

Also, if you'd like to have a go at leading a trip I'm happy to support a new leader to run this trip.

The trip meeting will be on March 6.
