Easter holiday trip 46.8KM to Kosciuszko National Park. The landscapes are part of a UNESCO-protected Biosphere Reserve.
Trip level: Grade 3-4 , Off-track experience. Some of track section may not be visible and requires navigation skills. Leader’s signup are welcome.

Plan:
Friday 30/03 (4.2 Km) : Early start (long drive 7 hours ) to Charlotte pass . Crossing the snowy river then walk to the Blue Lake (28m deep glacial lake in the alpine area).
Saturday 31/3 (15 KM): Follow the Main Range track to Muellers Peak . The track winds up along the ridge and in time comes to a rocky clearing on the eastern side of Carruthers Peak (2145m ) . Camp on the saddle between Mt Northcote (2131m) and Muellers Peak Or Wilkinson’s Creek
Sunday 31/3 ( 14 KM ): Continue the main range track to summit Mount Kosciuszko (2228m) via Mount Townsend (2209m) ,Byatts Camp south-west of Abbott Peak (2159m ) ( Or from Wilkinson’s Creek If We Camped there on Saturday) . Camp on the plateau to the northern side of North Rams Head with a rewarding sunset view
Monday (13.3 KM) : Rams Head to Mt Stillwell (2040m) for an amazing view of Kosciusko National Park then walk the Kangaroo ridge to finish at Charlotte pass.
