Kayaking Skills

This trip is aimed at teaching people skills to be able to progress to harder rivers in the future.

The trip will be on the Yarra but will not be run like the standard beginner trip, hence the intermediate level. This trip is open to paddlers who have ideally been on 2 Beginner Yarra trips before. Can easily paddle in a straight line, ideally t-rescue and feel very comfortable making it down the Yarra.

On this trip we will work on edging, reading the river, picking a line, paddle strokes and other important paddling skills.

The ratio of leaders to participants is aimed at being very high for good teaching opportunities.
