Xmas in July - Mt Feathertop

Bring out those daggy knits, you're going to want them! You're invited to the OXO family christmas up at the hut for a roast dinner and general frivolity. Kind of like midnight ascent but happier.

We'll carry up some charcoal and get the Weber grill going  to cook up something special. No freeze-dried allowed, this will be a dinner of gluttony and excess. Also on the menu will be newly installed solar lighting, hopefully put in place throughout the week by yours truly and whoever might be foolish enough to join me (probably nobody, let's be honest). You can expect a cosy glow that defies the true temperature of the hut, providing refuge for mulled wine and cards late into the early evening.

I'll be up at the hut already, so we'll need to sort some car logistics. I can come down and meet the group and help carry up the solar panel and roast. Probably leaving Melbourne Friday night or early Sat morning, getting back latish on Sunday night.

There will be a pre trip-meeting meeting two Tuesdays before (19th Jun) but that's only really to organise logistics for the whole week. Important trip meeting will be the Tuesday before the weekend (26th Jun).
