ALERT:

The weather Saturday is not promising (hail/storm etc.) so I have made the call to shift it to Sunday. Email me for major concerns.

Hello all!

The 1000 steps in the Dandenong Ranges is an excellent beginner day trip to start with the club. The trail begins at Upperfern tree gully train station and ending at Belgrave train station so car will not be needed for this hike.

The trip itself is very straight forward. We will be leaving from Flinders Street Station at 0800 (subject to change, will be discussed at meeting). Depending on how people feel at the top of the 1000 steps we can either go the long way or the short way.

As a beginner trip you will not need any prior knowledge/experience with hiking. The only I ask is that you bring water (2L) and lunch for yourself. The train ride will cost $6.30 full fare ($3.15 concession).

Look forward to seeing you all at the meeting!
