Hi all!

Welcome to the Pre-Mid-Semester-Weekend-Arapiles-Hyphen-Bonanza! That's right, Channa and Calla are running a beginner top roping trip to Arapiles!

For those who don't know, Top Roping is a beginner friendly form of climbing, where the rope is attached to you and then goes to an anchor that is above you. What's great about this, is that you would only fall a tiny bit, less than half a meter or so, so don't worry if you're worried about falling.

If you have no experience (or no gear) this trip is totally fine for you. It's a great way just to spend some time outdoors.

If you have some experience gym climbing, this would be a great way to climb on real rock ! Often it's a bit trickier than expected.

For this trip, we will be prioritising members who are already progressing through the ropes system in order to facilitate their learning. This may mean that you won't be able to make it on this trip but we'll be planning on running more trips in the future, so keep a keen eye out!

With regards to sign ups, we're going to take the signups from the pool of those who mark themselves as on the waitlist, prioritizing those who have shown interest in climbing (in MUMC) first and then first come/first serve.
