If you’ve seen the man from snowy river then you know this country pretty much perfectly if not then get excited for some fabulous hiking in the vic alpine region at a decently remote level.

about a 5 hr drive up just past Licola, will involve about 40min of gravel windy driving.

This is an intermediate hike because it includes river crossings and some very steep downhills.  It may also be recommended to bring along some gaiters or long pants for the first day because we will be walking through the planes.

We will leave one car at Lake Tarli Karng walking track start and drive everyone up to McFarlane's Saddle were we will start the walk.

First day. easy walk from McFarlane's Saddle to Miller's Hut sleeping there

Second day: Leave Miller's hut for lunch at Tarli Karng which is a steep walk. Then down the valley of destruction which does include some river crossings to a campsite that tickles our fancy

Third day: Walk to the lower car park with about 7 river crossings and then a car shuffle to pick up the other car
