Update (3/02/2019) I've had to bring the trip forward 2 weeks to the first weekend of April because of clashing commitments, this means that the friday will not fall on a public holiday.

A great hike to do before the snow sets in for 2019 is The Falls-Hotham Alpine Crossing. It's a 3 day/2 night (37km) walk through the Alpine National Park, linking the resort villages of Falls Creek and Mt Hotham.

Winding its way along alpine ridges through snow gum woodlands and snow grass plains, over rocky summits and past historic huts.

The plan: we will split into two groups, one will hike from Falls Creek and the other from Hotham, we'll swap keys to the cars half way, and then meet in bright on the Sunday to swap back. This will require some pre-planning and accurate numbers.

Campsites (booking is required):

>Cope Hut Campsite on the Bogong High Plains

>Dibbins Hut Campsite near the headwaters of the Cobungra River.

More details TBA
