Cancelled due to bush fire danger in the area and unfavourable weather conditions

A bush fire has been spotted ~19km south west of Rocky Creek campsite, I'll be keeping an eye on for the moment, and will check in with parks on wednesday if the fire hasn't been contained. For the moment we will treat the trip as going ahead but I will keep you updated.

Who's up to explore Mt Buffalo, the plateau circuit is great trail to take in the area. We'll leave Melbourne Friday night to camp at Lake Catani Campground,

Saturday (~16km)

The hike will follow a combination of the Long Plain Walking Trail, Mollison Galleries Track, and Rocky Creek Trail. We'll pass Mt Dunn, Og Gog Magog, Eagle Point, and we'll take some time to admire the surrounds. Saturday night we'll set up camp at the Rocky Creek Campground, it's an unpowered site with drop toilets and a creek.

Sunday (~13km)

Leaving Rocky Creek Campground heading towards Macs Point Lookout, and then follow the trails back to Lake Catani, we may stop off at The Monolith for some photos as well.

The hike is quite ungulated with no severe ascents and descents.
