This hike I stumbled across a while back and have been very keen to do it ever since. To do this trip you must have experience with overnight hiking and moderate fitness to be able to tackle some steep sections.

We will be leaving Melbourne in the afternoon and camping at the King Hut Campground. We'll start hiking on Saturday morning where we will hike past Lake Cobbler (Note: this may be the last place to fill up with water), Dandongdale falls (Victoria's highest waterfall) and we will camp on the saddle of Mount Cobbler. We may do a sunset/sunrise hike to the summit of Mount Cobbler as well. Sunday will be hiking back to the cars and heading back to Melbourne.

Saturday: 14.5km, 900m ascent, 200m ascent                                                                  Sunday: 13km, 200m ascent, 800m descent
