Hi all,
I'm wanting to run a beginners night hike next weekend departing Friday 26th and returning Sunday 28th.
The plan is to do the razorback from Diamantina hut to our own MUMC memorial hut! This is a really beautiful ~10km hike as it's above the treeline for the majority of the trek so you get surround alpine views! It's a grade 2-3 with max altitude gain of 150m or so. So very friendly on the legs.
Itinerary:
Friday: leave clubrooms at 5pm, arrive at Diamantina hut ~10pm. From Diamantina we will begin our night hike along the razorback.
Saturday: arrive at MUMC hut around 1-2am and sleep in :). 10am getup should be nice and comfortable and leave us with plenty of time to either 1) relax in hut for the day 2) summit mt Feathertop ~4km return.
Sunday: 8am wake up for 9am sendoff. Return to cars around 1pm and we should be back in Melbourne around 6pm or so.
Currently guaging interest would definitely love some people with cars
