If you've never been hiking, had a bad experience or sceptical, this is the trip for you. I'll run everyone through what to pack, how to hire gear from the club and how to do hiking cooking.

This trip has just been extended by 1 day to get us doing a loop. The first day will be 9km then 15km then 12km. This is a good amount if you haven't been hiking before but consider yourself low-level fit.

Saturday:

Times for Saturday are dependent on the tide times as we have to arrive at camp at low tide. No scary stuff just much more pleasant if we don't need to get anything wet. But let's say we leave in the morning probably drive to Leongatha which is 2hrs away and then carry on to the Prom which is another hour from there. Here we will park at mt Oberon and start walking! It's a 9km flat and downhill walk into Sealers cove where we will be camping.

Sunday:

From Sealers cove we will walk to refuge cove for lunch. This part of the walk is probably the hardest as it has a bit of elevation to it but not much. We will then carry on to Little waterloo bay and set up camp.

Monday:

From little waterloo bay we walk back to the car. We will probably have lunch at the cars depending on how we track or on the end stretch of the walk. and then make our way back home. Expect to be back around 5pm.
