A day walk along the more spectacular half of the Coastal Track at Mornington Peninsula.

Here's the plan:
-Meet at the clubrooms at 8am sharp and hop into cars
-Drive to No. 16 Beach carpark to access the middle of the Coastal Track, and do a car shuffle to Portsea.
-Walk 14k via gorgeous beaches, cool rock formations, and coastal scrub, to Point Nepean National Park, which should take about 4-5 hours, plus breaks
-There's a historic fort and good views at Point Nepean, so if we get there with time and energy to spare we can have a look around, or get food in Portsea.

The forecast is a 50% chance of light showers in the morning (I like those odds), and a chilly 8-17 degrees, plus pretty strong winds. So come prepared! Wear decent walking/running shoes, and I would suggest long pants/sleeves for both sun reasons and to avoid being whipped by sand. We will be walk on the beach for parts of this.

Bring:
-raincoat
-at least 2L water
-lunch and snacks
-a warm layer
-sunscreen, hat, sunnies
