Requirements: Must have been overnight bushwalking before and experienced enough to deal with many water crossings, rock scrambling and a bit of trail finding.

(Don't worry if you are not up to this one, there will be beginner friendly trips occuring every weekend for the next month, eg: Visit The Club Hut and Intro Trip to Wilson's Prom

Lake Tali Karng should be looking spectacular after all of this rain, and the weather should still be fairly warm, so it seems like an oppotunity not to be missed! (This is a trip for bushwalkers with experience.)

The plan:

Friday: Drive to the start of the walk Friday night, free camping along the Wellington River. Make sure you buy dinner along the way so you don't have to cook once we get there!

Saturday: Car shuffle so that we have a car at each end. Start walking from the western approch, crossing the Wellington River 16 times! Then climb 600m up to through the Valley of Destruction to the Lake, where we will camp. In the afternoon have a swim and possibly a sidetrip up to a highpoint or two.

Sunday: Walk out east towards Spion Kopje and then via the Wellington Plains to the other car. Collect all of the cars and head back to Melbourne, stopping at a country pub for dinner.
