The 4hr CBD-gaine is back to kick start your 2020! This event is all about exploring the art, culture, history and parkland of inner city Melbourne. With a focus on fun, finding new parts of the city and introducing friends to Rogaining this will be a fast scoring event. Walk, run or public transport around inner city of Melbourne.

This year, we start in Docklands, exploring the ever growing, ever interesting parts of the ‘new CBD’. There are plenty of opportunities for waterside strolling, deep city exploring or both!

A perfect event for novices and good fun for those who have done it all before. This is also the perfect event for families with short distances between checkpoints, pram friendly streets and heaps of close by playgrounds (all playgrounds are worth 100 points).

Following the success of last years rolling start times, competitors will be able to choose their start time. Starts will be between 8.00 am and 10.00 am in 15 minute intervals.

No post event catering however there are plenty of opportunities for top quality coffee, a taste of Melbourne cuisine or a quick stop at a convenience store to refuel.

Location:

Docklands Park

Near Harbour Esplanade between Bourke Street and Collins Street

Course:

The course uses question and multiple choice answer checkpoints. The questions are intended to confirm your visit to the checkpoint and not test your IQ. Checkpoints are set on points of interest as much as possible. Find the location on the Map then find the answer to the question matching a multiple choice answer and marking off A, B, C or D on you answer sheet.

This event is suitable of all levels of walking, running, pram and baby backpack teams. There is no cycling (Cyclogaine) However using Public Transport is allowed. Bring your myki as you must pay to use public transport outside of the free tram zone. Note that the hash house is outside of the free tram zone.

Map:

Accommodation:

You guessed it, no camping is available at the Hash House. A variety of accommodation options are available in Melbourne CBD and the surrounding suburbs.

Getting there and away:

We strongly recommend taking public transport to the start.

Off-street parking is expensive and metered parking options tend to be limited to shorter parking periods in inner Melbourne.
