Standard: Intermediate
Meeting: Tue, 8 Mar 2011, 8:00 pm

Requirements: Can paddle something class 3 reasonably competently. A solid roll is definitely advantageous. Knows what is involved for an overnight paddling trip,or at least prepared to learn whats involved for some camping

While the rivers are flowing and the sun is still shining, lets take advantage of these incredibly unusual conditions. If river levels hold out we will most likely hit up either the Mitchell or Mitta Mitta for a full weekend, overnight trip.

See http://www.adventurepro.com.au/paddleaustralia/ for river descriptions

We will load up and head out Friday night, Car shuffle setup Saturday and paddle some, paddle Sunday then bomb home.

This will likely be a class 3 river -you definitely need some on river experience to attend this trip. If you don't know whether you are competent enough, then chances are this trip is not for you. This is an awesome opp for any experienced paddler to come out, get to know the club and get involved. For any beginners - dont worry! There are plenty of intro level trips to come!

You will need to pack light and have some idea of the gear you need. We would probably sleep under tarps to save on luggage space if were fitting all our gear into our boats.

In terms of signups and the trip meeting, tonight is going to be pretty hectic with heaps of new memebers coming along. I will be trying to orgainise the Wednesday Evening Paddle for tomorrow first of all, so either hang around at the clubroom and speak to me after that is done, or sign up below and we will get some emails happening later in the week.

I encourage everyone interested in paddling to sign up for the 'Future Paddling' trip as this will allow me to send group emails directly to you, at least until the new mailing system is up.
