Reviving the first paddling trip of the year that got canceled due to the circuit breaker lockdown!

Venue: downstream from Dights Falls (Yarra)

Prerequisites: No previous paddling experience needed, you just need to be able to swim 50 m comfortably.

What to bring: wetsuit, water, snacks/lunch, towel & change of clothes, sunscreen!

This will be just a static trip to learn the basics of kayaking (strokes, wet exits, T-rescues, river swimming techniques, basic rescue techniques etc...) Expect to get wet, wetsuit is highly encouraged ;) The weather is going to be warm (27 °C), it may rain in the afternoon. In the second half of the session we will do some mock rescue scenarios (on shore and possibly off shore) - very useful and great fun!

Numbers will be dependent on cars/leaders available.

Gear can be hired from the club at the meeting on Tuesday.

Those who get on the waitlist can also attend the meeting. If the members who have signed up for the trip do not show up for the meeting,  the others on the waitlist have a chance to get bumped up.
