Hello there Oxo's!

Last updated: March 16, 2021

We have an updated return to play plan for Melbourne University Sport! The maximum number of people allowed on trips will now be tied to the indoor household limit, this means we can have trips of 30 people! Tuesday meetings in the clubrooms are still suspended but gear hire is allowed. If you need to hire gear for a club trip, contact your trip leader or relevant sports officer.

Members are required to follow our COVID-19 participant guidelines when on trips and accessing the club rooms.

Stay safe,
MUMC

Hi all,

Come join us for a leisurely sunset paddle down the Maribyrnong!

We'll meet at Essendon Canoe club at 3.30 pm, you will be fitted with your gear and we'll cover the basics to get you started on the river. We will then have a fun, cruisy 6 km return paddle towards the city while we watch the sunset. This trip is open to all levels, even if you've never sat in a kayak before and we will cover the basics and get you comfortable with paddling a kayak (these will be canoe polo boats).

We aim to be off the water by around 7 pm. Optional social dinner afterwards before going home. Bring snacks, water and weather-appropriate clothing.

Cost: to be confirmed - likely in the order of $15-20

If you haven't already done so, please also make sure that you complete our short (only 6 multiple-choice questions) paddling experience and interest survey to help us plan future trips: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScZ2unmgZs-HYeWLM6T7PjJNTqvw9894K2kEhD3yAWVroWJkw/viewform?fbclid=IwAR1DLVF0_FJa2dogLKxiZ64msNJt_lzV9MRcekYR5YMYCtMsSIJoARujJkM
