Leaving Melbourne Saturday morning, returning Sunday afternoon.
The goldfields area around Daylesford and Castlemaine is super lovely and have been keen try it out! This is a good introductory hike.
We will hike approx. 12km from Dingo Park Road near Castlemaine in a southerly direction to Vaughan Springs where we will camp the night. Sunday we will hike approx 10km to Porcupine Ridge Road where our cars will be (car shuffle Saturday morning). After completing the car shuffle (in reverse) we will head home.
Whilst this is a beginner trip, you must have reasonable fitness and be prepared to hike up and down hills with about 12-15kg on your back.
