"Hope Springs Eternal" /Nigel Aylott 24 Hour Victorian Championships

Key details for people who have rogained before (read on below if you have no idea what a rogaine is):

WHAT IS A ROGAINE?

Normally a rogaine takes place in the bush. Teams of 2-5 people use a map and compass to find markers. Points are given for each marker that is found, more points are awarded for markers that are far from the starting point or are a navigational challenge. Teams choose their route and attempt to collect as many points as they can before returning to the starting point (Hash House) before the clock stops. In other words, a treasure hunt in the bush where the winning team wins a chocolate bar. Events are usually 6, 8, 12 or 24 hours. These events are organised by the Victorian Rogaining Association (VRA) with teams from MUMC competing in most rogaines.

THIS EVENT

This event is a 24 hour event with an option to compete in a shorter 6 hour event if you don't want to stay out all night.

The course is entirely in forest.
