The Fainters

Come escape the summer heat up in the blue high country hills and snow gums at the Fainters!

Plan is:
- Friday arvo/evening we'll drive up to Pretty Valley Pondage (just outside Falls Creek) and drop off a car at Bogong Village for the return car shuffle, then stay the night at Pondage.
- Saturday we'll hike up to Tawonga Hut, maybe do a little side-trip to Mount Jaithmathang, continue on over the Fainters and camp the night at Bogong Jack Hut campsite. Distance will be about 15km with about 500m of ascent and descent, plus an extra 4km if we do the side trip.
- Sunday will be a largely downhill hike into Bogong Village where we'll re-shuffle the cars and head home. Total distance will be 11km, with about 200m ascent and 1000m descent. 

A fairly gentle walk, some climbs but should be accessible to anyone with a reasonable level of fitness and some enthusiasm! A great introduction to the alpine country, and just a really beautiful part of Victoria. Any questions - shoot me an email!
