Requirements: Experience in multipitch climbing an advantage.

A fun weekend of rock climbing at the Grampians National Park, enjoying some of the finest sandstone cliffs in a picturesque environs.

NOTE: Due to campsite and road closures of areas flooded in the summer, the climbing locations may change as it becomes clear which areas are accessible. Watch this space.

The current plan is to spend Saturday climbing trad multipitch routes at Mt Difficult and one day at a crag which offers both trad and sport climbing. If Bundaleer is open, then that would be a good contender for Sunday. I am not sure if Bundaleer is a possibility, but Mt Difficult and Stapylton areas are definitely accessible. Generally the Northern Grampians were much less affected by the floods than the Southern Grampians. If anyone is keen to go to any areas in the Northern Grampians, please talk to me at the meeting on Tuesday. I am open to suggestions that are not Summer Day Valley.

The trip would leave on Friday evening at around 6pm, leaving from the clubrooms (gear pickup possible). The campsite for Friday night has not yet been decided. We will be heading back on Sunday afternoon, in order to be back in Melbourne by 10pm or so.

If anyone has any questions, or has a good knowledge of the current state of roads and campgrounds, please come see me on Tuesday, or call me on 0401399105.
