If you are keen to get outdoor bouldering but want to stay close to home come join me at Lily St boulders. I am planning to pick up some mats from the clubrooms during the week and then ride along the Maribyrnong to Lily St boulders which can also be accessed by car or public transport. Please keep Covid- safety in mind when planning to attend this trip.

Most of the problems are above at or above V1. This trip will be most enjoyable for those who have some bouldering experience, including indoors. You should be able to have a good go at some of the climbs if you are climbing blue tapes at Northside, green holds at Urban or purple holds at Blochaus. Sadly I am not familiar with the other gyms grading systems. There are also some good looking challenging problems around V7-V8. This is not a beginner climbing trip.

Attending the trip meeting is a must as we will be covering spotting, falling techniques and low- impact bouldering. Please let me know in advance if you are unable to attend the meeting.

The cost of the trip will include splitting the cost of hiring mats plus shoe hire if necessary.

Please bring lunch and plenty of water (1+ litres), shoes, chalk, hand sanitiser and a mask along for this trip. While the trip is in a suburban area, food and drink facilities are not close by. We will be trying to stay Covid- safe by not sharing food and chalk and social distancing. Covid- safe transport will be discussed at the trip meeting. Please do not attend if you are a close contact, test positive or are experiencing Covid symptoms.
