French Island Lazing

French Island fills the "other" Melbourne bay of Western Port. Mostly national park and with no road connection to the mainland, this is a low effort adventure accessible by all on public transport.

Leaving on Friday afternoon and catching a train to the ferry terminal we'll be dropped off a 2 hour walk away from the Fairhaven Campground, that has water, toilets, and bbqs. Saturday is a free day to sleep in before lazing about or exploring the island, bicycles or walking. Return on Sunday reversing the journey.

Needing to book campsite and ferry spaces signups will need to pay a non-refundable deposit ahead of the trip meeting. This trip will not include: swimming, campfires, or significant exertion.
