Mt Stirling snowshoe & camp

Fancy a camp in the snow? The plan is to snowshoe from Telephone Box Junction to Mt Stirling and snow camp near one of the huts. Returning via a loop and some side trips depending on our progress and conditions.

Stirling offers relatively sheltered camping, but temperatures will still be very cold and snow camping requires lots of warm gear.  Four season tents and sleeping bags are a must. The club has snowshoes that can be hired at the trip meeting on Tuesday.

We will leave Melbourne at 6am on Saturday and return Sunday evening.

Resort entry/chain hire /fuel fees will be split between the group with an estimated trip cost around $60.
