Come join me for a day walk around the Werribee Gorge circuit, located in Werribee Gorge State Park. Planning on leaving at 9am from the clubrooms to hopefully get the warmest part of the day. The walk is ~4.5 hours long and we will be walking at a steady pace to take in the views. There are some hills and rock scrambing so this hike is recommended for people with a moderate level of fitness (comfortable walking up and down hills for a couple of hours).

More details of the route can be found here: https://www.parks.vic.gov.au/places-to-see/parks/werribee-gorge-state-park/things-to-do/walking https://www.trailhiking.com.au/hikes/werribee-gorge-circuit/

We will stop for lunch on the trail so BYO lunch that you can carry. Participants will be required to bring:

  • Sturdy walking shoes- hiking boots are recommended but sturdy runners are okay
  • Suitable clothes for hiking- no jeans please! We will discuss wet weather gear if required closer to the forecast
  • Suitable daypack
  • Hat
  • 1-2 L water
  • Snacks and lunch
  • Mask for the car
  • Binoculars and camera if you have them to take in the scenery

On this trip we will be following minimum impact guidelines, MUMC Bushwalking participant guidelines, and the MUMC code of conduct
